Travel Notes!

Participants in our tours and cruises are encouraged to travel with an open mind, active curiosity and consideration for the customs and beliefs of the citizens of the countries in which we travel. Remember that Egypt is a developing country and as such the environment, people, meals, and accommodations may be quite different from what you are used to at home. Enjoy these differences in the spirit of adventure.

Full payment is required to hold a place for Egypt.

Your passport must be valid 6 months beyond your stay.

$4400 per person includes airfare from NYC or $3050 per person for domestic Egypt airfare & land only within Egypt. Prices based on double occupancy. Don't worry, we will find you a compatible roommate.

While our tours cover almost all normal expenses, the following are not included:

$25 fee for pyramid entrance. Transportation from your home to JFK, NYC and back to your home. Meals not included in the itinerary, Insurance of any kind. Beverages, including bottled water. Visa fees $25, and customs duties, personal items, including laundry, excess baggage charges, souvenirs, taxis, etc. Extra charges for food ordered ala carte, room service or meals eaten separately from the group. Admissions for events listed as "extra cost option" in the trip itinerary. Please register video equipment with customs when entering the country so you won't be charged duty when leaving.


We strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance. Policies are available to cover loss or damage to your luggage, medical needs, certain accidents, and expenses if you must cancel your trip. We do not sell insurance.  


Space is limited and reservations will not be accepted after the group is full. All payments must be made in full to reserve a place at the conference or Nile cruise. 


Cancellation requests received in writing for 90 days prior to departure will be honored and receive a partial refund of all moneys paid with a 50% refund up to Feb 3rd, 2011. However if you have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances we will make every effort to substitute someone from our standby list. This does not include Airfare to Egypt. The airlines usually give back about 80%. That's why we strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance.

Arrangements for the tour are inclusive, and no refund is granted for unused accommodations, meals, admissions or other services. If there is any claim for a refund, for any reason other than cancellation, such claim must be made directly to Genesis and it must be received in writing within 30 days after the scheduled return date of the tour. If Genesis cancels the tour, all Monies paid by the participant will be returned. This return of Monies paid is participant's only recourse. This cancellation policy excludes airline reservations and tickets that are covered by the rules of the air carriers concerned.

Terms and Conditions

Effective for all tours operated in 2011: Refunds for individual trips canceled up to 60 days prior to departure are subject to 50% fee. From 60 days to 45 days, there is a %70 percent cancellation fee, plus any penalties imposed by airlines, hotels, or cruise ships. For less than 45 days, there is a %100-percent cancellation fee.

Note #1: Should the trip fail to achieve minimum participation, Genesis reserves the right to cancel the tour and refund in full any deposits received. Genesis will offer participants the opportunity to apply these funds to a similar revised tour program offered by Genesis within 12 months of tour cancellation.

Note #2:The advertised cost for each tour is based on an established minimum level of participation, 30 people. Should the group for any tour fall below this number, each traveler may be assessed a surcharge dependent upon the number of persons traveling, (usually between $100 and $300 per person). We make every effort to keep the surcharge as small as possible. If assessed a surcharge, you will be notified of the amount at least 30 days before the departure date. Payment is due upon notification.

A valid passport must be held by each passenger. Applicable visas or visa information for countries other than the United States or Canada will be provided as required. In countries where an entrance visa is required the cost of the visa will be paid by the passenger at entrance to Egypt at the airport. Otherwise the passenger will be given information about how to obtain the visa at their own expense.

Genesis and/or their agents act only in capacity as agents for the passenger in all matters connected with hotel accommodations, sight-seeing tours and transportation, whether by air, rail, bus, motorcar, boat or any other means and as agent holds itself free of responsibility for any damage occasioned by any cause. Genesis and or its agents will not be responsible for any damages or expenses or inconveniences caused by late departures or change of schedule, strikes or to their conditions, nor will be responsible for loss or damage to baggage or any of the passenger’s belongings. All prices quoted are correct at time of brochure printing, include the cost of operation of the tours, and are subject to currency and airfare changes. Genesis, its parent corporation and affiliates, officers, employees, servants and agents shall not be responsible for personal injury, death or property damage as a result of force majeure or for any other losses or damages incurred by any person or tour participants caused by any delay or change of itinerary or arising out of any act, including, but not limited to, any act of negligence, any person acting for or on behalf of Genesis for transportation, accommodation or sight-seeing provider or any other person or entity rendering any of these services or accommodations being offered in connection with these tours. Any dispute arising out of these tours, must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the completion of the tour and will be settled by arbitration within the City of Honolulu, Hawaii.
